HONG KONG – The world’s No. 1 mid-year fine jewellery event is adding two new thematic zones to its already impressive array of pavilions, and offering a rich programme of events featuring industry experts when it opens its doors on June 20.
The Technology and Lab-Grown Diamond sections will be making their debut at the four-day June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, which will be held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
“These two pavilions are destinations in themselves,” says Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs. “The Technology and Lab-Grown Diamond areas will provide buyers even more convenient access to products and services tailored to their requirements.”
Beyond products, the Technology zone will feature a tech pod where exhibitors will present industry-related applications, software programs and devices that can help enterprises grow their businesses and drive operational efficiencies. The pavilion and mini-theatre will be located in Hall 5C. Show attendees will have free access to the presentations.
Some of the companies that will give live demonstrations at the tech pod are Ma Belle International Ltd (Digital O2O Solution Designed for Jewellers in Digital Era), Hong Kong The Way Tech Co Ltd (The Benefits of Refined Management and How to Implement it Successfully), Shenzhen Radiant Technology Co Ltd (Transparent LED Screen for Retail Boost) and Guangzhou BiaoQi Optoelectronics Technology Development Co Ltd (Demo of Spectrum Rapid Analysis of Jewellery).
Picup Media, Official Product Photo Partner of the June Fair, will provide a brief tutorial on how to take product photos and videos using the GemLightbox, a portable jewellery photography system that allows jewellers to capture studio-quality images and videos of their products using a smartphone.

Lab-grown diamond producers, on the one hand, will showcase their product inventories in Hall 5E. Most of the exhibitors will present loose goods.
Under the group pavilion category, opal specialists from Australia, the world’s biggest supplier of precious opal, have banded together to launch the Australia Pavilion in Hall 5E.
The June Fair will feature more than 1,900 exhibitors from 40 countries and regions and from a broad cross-section of the industry. It is divided into 21 theme and 18 group pavilions, spread across 70,000 square metres of exhibition space at the HKCEC. In addition to Technology and Lab-Grown Diamonds, the theme pavilions include Diamonds; Gemstones; Pearls; Corals; Fine Design Pavilion/Fine Gem Pavilion; CORE; Fei Cui Gallery; Antique & Vintage Jewellery; Designer Arena; Fine Jewellery; Fashion Jewellery; Finished Jewellery; Silver Jewellery; Stainless Steel Jewellery; Jewellery Accessories; Jewellery Mountings; Gemmological Laboratories, and Packaging, Tools & Equipment. |
